Grenade Thrown, Shots Fired at Masis Town Hall, Alleged Culprit Commits Suicide

ARARAT PROVINCE, ARMENIA – Earlier today, Armenian police surrounded the municipality building in Masis, a town in the Ararat province of Armenia. According to various reports, a citizen armed with a grenade entered the municipality building. The individual threw a grenade from the mayor’s office and then began firing indiscriminately. There were no other employees inside except for the guard.

According to 168.am, the individual was Edgar Margaryan, a 36 year old male citizen of Masis, and a member of the town council. Other media sources have reported that the gunman has committed suicide, found inside the building with a gunshot wound to the head.
