AYF-WUS LAUNCHES BREAK THE CHAINS OF GENOCIDE CAMPAIGN IN APRIL 2024

LOS ANGELES, CA – With the profound loss of Artsakh – an integral part of the
Armenian Homeland – and yet another Genocide committed against the Armenian
people, the Armenian Youth Federation Western United States (AYF-WUS) is launching
a new campaign, Break the Chains of Genocide.

This campaign will take place throughout the month of April and beyond, advocating
for justice and reparations for the 1915 Armenian Genocide, the 2023 Artsakh
Genocide, and all other injustices faced by Armenians globally.
On Sunday, March 31st, the AYF-WUS announced a series of daily action items
leading up to the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. These actions aim to
raise awareness about the enduring injustices faced by the Armenian people and to
emphasize the resilience and determination of the Armenian Nation in its ongoing
struggle against Genocide. To stay updated on the AYF-WUS 24 Days of Action, please
follow on their various social media platforms, @AYFWest.

For the final day of the AYF-WUS 24 Days of Action, the AYF-WUS – in conjunction
with the Armenian Genocide Committee – will host their annual Armenian Genocide
Protest, to take place on Wednesday, April 24th, at 12 PM at the Turkish Consulate
located at 8500 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, California. This annual Protest not
only commemorates the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide but also the
Genocide perpetrated against the 120,000 indigenous Armenians in 2023 in Artsakh and calls for the end of the vicious cycle of Genocide against Armenians, andreparations in the liberation of occupied Artsakh.

As always, the AYF-WUS invites and urges the Armenian community of Southern
California, as well as friends and allies of the Armenian people, to join their efforts this
April. Follow along on social media for the 24 Days of Action, participate in the
advocacy initiatives, and join the Armenian youth at the annual April 24th Protest at the
Turkish Consulate. Together, the Armenian community in the Diaspora can make its
voice heard, and demand justice for the atrocities endured by the Armenian people.
Founded in 1933, the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) is the largest and most
influential Armenian-American youth organization. With chapters throughout the United
States and affiliated organizations around the world, the AYF actively strives to
advance the social, political, educational, and cultural awareness of all
