U.S. “Concerned” That Foreigners Wounded by Azerbaijani Attacks

The United States is concerned that two civilian employees of a U.S.-affiliated company in Armenia sustained injuries from gunfire from Azerbaijan, Department of State Spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a tweet on Wednesday, June 14.

“We reiterate our call for restraint along the borders as the parties worktowarda durable and balanced peace,” Miller added.

Two foreigner, later identified as Indian nationals, were wounded on Wednesday when the Azerbaijani military opened fire on a metallurgical plant currently under construction with foreign investments in the Armenian village of Yeraskh, the Defense Ministry reported.
