I have received a notice from the Prosecutor’s Office regarding the initiation of proceedings to confiscate—essentially, to seize—a number of properties belonging to me, my family members, and my relatives.
After reading the notice, all that remains is to laugh at those who gave the order and to pity those carrying it out.
For now, I will only note that, with illogical and unlawful justifications, the Prosecutor’s Office has labeled as “illegal property” assets that are the lawful property of me and my family members—property created through years of their work—simply in order to present a list to the public and stage yet another show.
This is just another manifestation of Pashinyan’s vindictiveness and pettiness.
I have no reason to worry. Check and examine as much as you want: behind everything I have is the many years of hard, honest work of me and my family members. You and your circle, however, have a great deal to think about—and a great deal to explain.
Finally, unlike you, I have not extorted people through blackmail, I have not written commissioned articles, I have not won state tenders, and I have not held high office (only 4 months—June to October 2018—as Governor of Gegharkunik), through which I could have enriched myself illegally.
P.S. For years, I have not publicly spoken about my family’s work, the jobs we created, or the taxes we paid to the state.
But the situation that has been created is probably the best occasion to address all of that and present it to the public with detailed facts—which I will certainly do in the near future.
I simply will not allow the years of my family’s earned work and good name to be defamed and branded.
