Being a citizen of the Republic of Artsakh and the President of the National Assembly, I have always fought for the establishment and strengthening of institutions representing the President of the Republic of Artsakh, the National Assembly and security structures as the basis of statehood.
In recent days, the steps taken by some persons who have appeared on public platforms under the guise of false unification calls, aimed at destroying the foundations of our statehood, are unacceptable.
I assumed the position of the President of the National Assembly as a result of the consensus of political forces. I am sure that this consolidation will give flesh and blood to the noble idea of preserving statehood, whose legitimate representatives are the institutions of the President and the National Assembly.
All the steps that are aimed at driving a wedge and at the separation and opposition of state structures in general only create hostility within the country and feed the enemy’s mill.
I am sure that in these difficult days, the representatives of the security and law-enforcement structures realize the price and importance of maintaining statehood and maintaining our security and internal peace entrusted to them.
As the second individual in charge of the political leadership of the country, just as I was not absent during the process of statehood creation on the battlefield, remaining loyal and steadfast to the goals adopted by our martyrs, realizing the importance of internal solidarity, I am ready to invest all my strength to make joint decisions and take our republic out of this situation with minimal damage.
As the head of the legislative body, I am sure that the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh will create all the conditions to become a platform not only for political discussions, but also for addressing public problems and proposing solutions.
I assure you that the National Assembly is ready to host various layers of society with a constructive tendency and is ready to listen to everyone’s opinion and present it to the President of the Republic of Armenia and the relevant bodies.
Be sure that we will get out of this difficult situation thanks to our steadfast, just, unwavering commitment and solidarity.
I call on all of you to show vigilance and restraint for the benefit of our country and people.
