Community Gathers in Support of Levon Baronian’s Campaign for LA City Council

ENCINO, CA – Levon Baronian officially kicked off his campaign for Los Angeles City Council, District 4, on the evening of Wednesday, November 8.

The event was attended by nearly 100 supporters and included various public officials and community leaders.

Speaking at the event in support of Baronian were ANCA Hollywood Chairwomen and prominent attorney Lara Yeretsian, Esq. and ANCA San Fernando Valley East Chairman Dr. Avo Babian. California State Assemblymember Chris Holden also delivered remarks.

The primary election is scheduled for March 5, 2024. Baronian is seeking to unseat incumbent Nithya Raman, who was elected to represent the district before it underwent redistricting, which resulted in a new district map with very little overlap with the areas she was elected to represent.

Prior to redistricting the district was primarily a West Los Angeles district. It now encompasses the San Fernando Valley neighborhoods of Sherman Oaks, Reseda, Encino, Studio City, Valley Village along with the the neighborhoods of Los Feliz, Hollywood Hills, Mount Olympus, Griffith Park, and parts of Silver Lake.
