ARF Bureau Member Mourad Papazian Banned From Entering Armenia

YEREVAN, ARMENIA – Yesterday night, Mourad Papazian, member of the ARF Bureau and co-chairman of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in France, was denied entry into Armenia after arriving at Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport.

Papazian issued the following statement.

Dear friends,

I am very sorry to inform you that yesterday I was banned from entering Armenia. By order of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, I have been declared an undesirable person in Armenia.

The police escorted me to the return plane after I had just arrived in Yerevan, where my entry was suspended and my passport was confiscated. I knew that my entry to Azerbaijan and Turkey was prohibited, and now I also learned that Pashinyan’s Armenia is also prohibited…

After 40 years of struggle for Armenia, the Armenian people and the Armenian State, to be treated like this just hurts me. This decision of Nikol Pashinyan is an additional fact that he is not up to the responsibility given to him. He is strong when he demands his police to expel a Hay Dat figure, but can you imagine this little leader debating with Erdogan and Aliyev? Sooner or later, the people of Armenia will have to be convinced that they need to get rid of this leader who is making every effort to weaken Armenia. Diaspora understands too. But it’s time to say stop.
