GLENDALE, CA, September 25, 2025 – Students from Glendale Unified Elementary Schools will join schools nationwide in celebrating Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The district invites community members, teachers, staff and administrators to join students in this event to promote physical activity, pedestrian safety, and environmentally friendly transportation.
Start times and locations will vary by each school site. Members of the press are invited to join Glendale Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Darneika Watson, GUSD Board of Education members, and other Glendale community leaders at the 2025 media host school, Glenoaks Elementary. The walk will begin at Glenoaks Park (2531 East Glenoaks Boulevard Glendale, CA 91206) and end at Glenoaks Elementary School. Please see details below.
