The death toll in the apartment explosion apparently caused by a gas leak in the Armenian town of Chambarak climbed to 5 after rescuers recovered the body of a man from the rubble, authorities said.
The deceased was the last missing person in the incident and the search operations have ended, Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson Narek Sargsyan said in a statement.
More than 280 rescuers and police officers were involved in the search and rescue operation.
The government has pledged to provide the residents of the affected building with medicine, food and shelter.
The gas explosion destroyed a section of an apartment block. 11 people were hospitalized.
Authorities are assessing the needs of the residents and working to eliminate the consequences of the incident.
