LOS ANGELES, CA – The AYF-Western United States held its 51st annual convention from Thursday, September 18, to Sunday, September 21, 2025. Delegates from all 12 chapters gathered at AYF Camp Big Pines for a four-day conference to review the events, programs, and initiatives of the past fiscal year and discuss organizational projects, priorities, and goals for the coming year.
Present at the convention were representatives from the ARF Central Committee, AYF Juniors Central Committee, Armenian National Committee of America, AYF Camp Management Board of Directors, and AYF Canada Central Executive.
Discussions focused on strategies to boost membership engagement, deepen community connections and activism, build a stronger foundation for Armenian youth, and strengthen ties with the homeland through diverse projects and initiatives. The AYF-WUS Convention reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to its five pillars, and underscored its essential role in the political and cultural landscape of the Homeland. The 51st Annual Convention concluded with the election of a new Central Executive body, consisting of Ani Ghazaryan, Shant Atamian, Talar Andonian, Hovig Ohanian, Sako Seraydarian, Arpy Assadourian, and Sevag Sarkissian
In remarks on behalf of the newly elected Central Executive, Ghazaryan stated, “The 51st Annual AYF Convention stood as a testament to our unshakable commitment to unity, progress, and service. We evaluated our present, and set forth a renewed vision to strengthen Armenian youth and our homeland. This year reaffirmed what has always defined the AYF, which is our collective dedication to empowering youth, serving our communities, and preserving the Armenian spirit across generations. We remain united in purpose, driven by mission, and committed to building a stronger, more connected Armenian future.”
Established in 1933, the Armenian Youth Federation is the largest and most influential Armenian-American youth organization in the United States, dedicated to promoting social, political, educational, athletic, and cultural awareness among Armenian-American youth.
